Educational Qualification
Sub Inspector & Jailer – Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree)
For Station Officer (Fire Services) – Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) in Science or Engineering

Age Criteria – 21 to 25(as on 01.01.2024) – Upper age relaxation of 5 years for (SC, ST, SEBC & Women), Age relaxation for Ex-Servicemen for entire period of service rendered in the Defence

Exam Pattern

Syllabus

Paper 1 – English & Odia – 100 Marks – 90 minutes (1.5 hours)

General English – To test the ability to read and understand serious discursive prose and to express their ideas clearly and correctly in English. Exam Pattern will be:
(i) Comprehension of a Givne passage
(ii) Usage & Vocabulary
(iii) Grammar

Odia – Exam Pattern will be:
(i) Comprehension of a Givne passage
(ii) Usage & Vocabulary
(iii) Translation from English to Odia

Paper 2 – General Studies – 200 Marks – 180 minutes (3 hours)

General Studies – Exam Pattern will be:
(i) General Science & Technology
(ii) Current Affairs (Current events of National & International importance)
(iii) History of ancient India and Indian National Movement
(iv) India and World Geography
(v) Indian Polity & Economy

(vi) Mental Ability & Test of REASONING

(vii) Numerical Ability Test & Arithmetic

(viii) Computer Literacy Test

Paper 3 – Technical Paper – 200 Marks – 180 minutes (3 hours) – only for Station Officer(Fire Service) – Physics & Chemistry – +3 Standard
