ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

AGE LIMITS
A candidate must have attained the a g e of 21 years and must not be above the age of 38 years as on the 1st day of January, 2022, i.e. he/she must not have been born earlier than 2nd January, 1984 and not later than 1st January, 2001. The upper age limit is relaxable by 05 (five) years for candidates belonging to S.C./S.T./S.E.B.C./ Women/ Ex-Serviceman and by 10 (ten) years for PWDs whose permanent disability is 40% or more. Persons with Disabilities belonging to SC/ST/SEBC category are eligible for cumulative age relaxation benefit.

NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS
Every candidate appearing at the Civil Services Examination, who is otherwise eligible, shall be permitted 06 (six) attempts at the examination: Provided that –
1) There shall be no such limit for the S.C. and S.T. candidates.
2) The number of attempts permissible to candidates belonging to Socially & Educationally Backward Classes, who are otherwise eligible, shall be 09 (nine). This relaxation will be available to the candidates, who are eligible to avail reservation applicable to such candidates.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS OF ODISHA CIVIL SERVICES
A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or a State Legislature in India or an Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or deemed to be a University under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission
